Culture in nature: Jazzkollektiv Babelsberg
International Museum Day – concert as part of the “Kultur am Pfingstberg” association The Babelsberg Jazz Collective is dedicated to the jazz era of hard bop, which was created in the 1950s by musicians such as Art Blakey and his Jazz Messengers, Horace Silver, Lee Morgan, Clifford Brown and others as a further development of bebop.
The five musicians from Potsdam also draw on the rich repertoire of the Great American Songbook as well as their own compositions.
Two wind instruments, a full double bass, elegantly light piano playing and impulsive drumming.
In addition to the rhythmic drive, elements of soul and blues are also incorporated.
This makes the Babelsberg jazz collective an experience.
Whether on open-air stages, in jazz clubs, at corporate events or as a pop-up act: music that makes sparks fly. Belvedere Gardens, admission free, donations welcome!
In case of bad weather, the event will unfortunately have to be canceled.
